Herdwick Minced hogget has a rich delicious flavour and soft texture. Ideal for shepherds pir, mousakka and can be used in place of beef mince.
Herdwick sheep are Lakelands’ native sheep breed, they eat a natural diet of fell grasses and heather. ‘Hogget’ is sheep meat from an animal between 1-2 years old and is a delicious cross between tender lamb and full flavoured mutton. Our Herdwick Hogget is dry aged for 7 days to enhance the texture and flavour.
