Sharrow Bay’s Head Chef Mark Teasdale showcases the best of Cumbria at Harvey Nichols flagship store in Knightsbridge

Food lovers in the Cumbria will have an extra reason to celebrate their local cuisine this month as, after the phenomenal success of last years event, Sharrow Bay has once again been picked to showcase its Michelin star cuisine at the prestigious Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor restaurant in Knightsbridge as part of the British Food Fortnight celebrations.

Running from Friday 25th September to Thursday 1st October, Sharrow Bay Head Chef, Mark Teasdale, will be joining Fifth Floor Executive Chef, Jonas Karlsson, in the Harvey Nichols kitchens. Using the best of Cumbrian produce, they will display their own distinctive style of cooking through a range of collaborative menus especially created for the occasion. The menus will feature some of Sharrow’s signature dishes, such as, their sell-out dessert from last year; the world famous sticky toffee pudding (which will also be available to purchase in Harvey Nichols Foodmarkets nationwide). The six course tasting menu is priced at £55 while the Sharrow Market Menu will be available during lunchtime, priced at £19.50 for two courses and £24.50 for three. The Cumbrian produce on show includes Sharrow Bay’s favourite Herdwick lamb from Yew Tree farm at Coniston. When asked about the event Mark commented ‘We couldn’t quite believe the success of last year’s event it was quite astonishing. I am really looking forward to working with Jonas again and showcasing our region and its superb produce in such a prestigious store.’

To make the experience complete, Nicolas Chieze, Sharrow Bay’s award winning sommelier, will be working with the Harvey Nichols team of sommeliers and wine buyers, to select accompanying wines from the list at the Fifth Floor Restaurant.
