Delivery dates
We can deliver your order on any Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday that suits you. The earliest delivery date available is usually no more than 4 working days from the date you place your order, and is often less. Please leave details if you have a preferred date.
(Beef delivery dates may be longer due to our natural rearing methods and the slow lifestyle of our little hairy cows!)
Your order will be delivered between 8.30am and 5.30pm on the delivery day. Sorry but we can't give you an exact time for delivery, however we can ask the driver to leave it somewhere safe if you're out (please provide instructions for the driver, such as a neighbour's address, or a safe place to leave your box such as a patio or garage)
You can also arrange delivery to your workplace, or to a neighbour or friend if it's more convenient, at no extra charge. Please use this address as your delivery address in the details you provide.
Feel free to ring and discuss the delivery options by calling us on 015394 41433 or e-mail info@yewtree-farm.co.uk
Heritage Meats Packaging
At Heritage Meats we have two ways of packaging your top quality meat to ensure you have control over the quality of your purchase.
We normally pack your produce using the method we feel is the most suitable for the cut of meat you have purchased, we use two methods-
Vacuum packing
We use professional vacuum packing machines to extract all the air from your packs of meat. Vacuum packing is preferred for larger cuts because:
It's the natural way to keep your meat fresher for longer
Vacuum packed products take up very little room in your fridge or freezer
Our special packaging helps to protect your meat from knocks and freezer burn
The packs are clean and easy to handle
Our heavy grade vacuum packs are ideal for home freezing.
Overwrapping/loose packing
On smaller cuts of meat we prefer to use non-vacuum methods of packaging because:
Keeps the smaller cuts of meat in better condition as vacuum packaging has a tendency to miss-shape the cuts and extract valuable juices from the cut surfaces.
Conveniently stacks in fridge for quick use
Looks attractive
If you have a preferred packing method please specify (some large cuts may not be suitable for overwrapping)
