Heritage Meats is based at Yew Tree farm near Coniston in the Lake District, once owned by Beatrix Potter.
Our animals are reared on the stunning Lakeland fells in a natural and unhurried way. The mixed grass and herb diet, long hanging times and expert butchery creates meat of outstanding flavour and texture.
We are always happy to speak to you in person if you prefer and can offer advice on anything from cut selection to cooking suggestions, just ask.
We specialise in producing ‘old fashioned’ meat using traditional breeds of animals. We rear Herdwick lamb, hogget, mutton and belted Galloway beef.
