At Heritage Meats we take pride in producing ‘old fashioned’ meat that 'tastes like it used to' using traditional methods of rearing animals, skilled butchery and longer dry aging in order to create a truly authentic eating experience. Our core products are from Yew Tree Farm and the Lake District Fells are Herdwick Lamb, Hogget, Mutton and Belted Galloway Beef, but we have teamed up with other passionate suppliers to offer you the full compliment of fine foody produce.
Yew Tree Farm near Coniston in the Lake District was once owned by Beatrix Potter. Jon farms Yew tree farm's 700 Acres of field and fell and specialises in rearing Lakeland Herdwick sheep and Belted Galloway cattle. The animals are reared on the stunning Lakeland fells on a mixed grass,herb and heather diet, the animals are finished in a natural and unhurried way.
Yew Tree Farm is also the founder and main supplier to 'Heritage Meats'. Caroline is proud to be able to offer you some of the finest examples of high welfare, traditional breed, fully traceable, free range and sustainable meats in the UK.
At Yew Tree farm Caroline manages the Butchery where we can offer meat to passing customers or send our boxes of meat by mail order anywhere in the UK.
